Claude Sonnet 5 is Anthropic's most capable model to date, and it is now fully integrated into Kolbo. You can use it anywhere your work requires high-quality reasoning, code, or analysis: in the Chat tool for conversations and long-form thinking, and in Kolbo Code for AI-assisted application and website building.

What Claude Sonnet 5 Brings

Agentic coding that actually finishes tasks. Claude Sonnet 5 is purpose-built for multi-step coding work. It can read a codebase, understand what needs to change, write the fix, and check its own output, without requiring you to hand-hold each step. For Kolbo Code users, this means more complete outputs from a single prompt.

1 million token context window. You can paste in an entire codebase, a research document, a long screenplay, or a stack of reference materials and Claude Sonnet 5 holds all of it coherently. This is not just a larger window: the model actually uses the full context rather than losing track halfway through.

Advanced reasoning on complex problems. Benchmark-leading performance on coding, logic, and analytical tasks. When a problem requires decomposing steps, checking assumptions, or working through edge cases, Claude Sonnet 5 does this reliably rather than taking the nearest shortcut.

Multimodal input. Drop in images, documents, or screenshots alongside your text and Claude Sonnet 5 reads and reasons across all of it. Show it a diagram, a screenshot of an error, or a reference image and it incorporates that into its response.

Two Places to Use It

Chat Tool

Open the Chat tool and pick Claude Sonnet 5 from the model selector. It is available for any conversation: coding help, research, writing, analysis, or complex reasoning tasks. The model switch happens in-session, so you can try it right from an existing conversation.

Kolbo Code

Claude Sonnet 5 powers the generation layer in Kolbo Code. When you describe an app, website, or tool and ask Kolbo Code to build it, it now has access to Sonnet 5's deeper planning and code quality. The output is more complete, the logic more coherent, and the code is cleaner on the first pass.

Who Should Use It

Developers using Kolbo Code to build apps and websites faster. Claude Sonnet 5 handles more complex architectures and writes better code by default.

Researchers and analysts who work with long documents, need structured summaries, or want to reason over large datasets of text.

Writers and content creators who use Chat for editing, outlining, and developing complex pieces where consistency across a long piece of text matters.

Anyone working on tasks that require real thinking, not just pattern-matching. Claude Sonnet 5 is the right model for problems where shortcuts break down.

How to Try It

Claude Sonnet 5 is already in your Kolbo workspace.

  1. Open Chat from your dashboard
  2. Click the model selector at the top
  3. Choose Claude Sonnet 5 from the Claude family
  4. Start a conversation or paste in your problem

For Kolbo Code, open the tool and it uses Claude Sonnet 5 by default for new projects.
