Veo 3.1 by Google
Veo 3.1: AI video that arrives with its own sound.
Veo 3.1 is Google’s video model. It generates dialogue, sound effects and ambience in sync with the picture, so a clip comes back ready to watch with sound. Kolbo.AI includes Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Quality and Veo 3.1 Lite in the same workspace as Seedance, Kling and every other model.
Made on Kolbo.AI with Veo 3.1
Prompt: One continuous 16:9 shot: the surfer wades forward through the shallows toward camera, board under one arm, backlit spray lifting off the water as the low sun flares. Natural gait and water displacement, no cuts, no text.

Getting the most out of Veo
Write the sound into the prompt
Put spoken lines in quotes and name the sounds you want to hear: footsteps on gravel, distant traffic, a door closing. Veo generates them in sync with the action.
Plan around 8 seconds
Veo 3.1 and Quality render fixed 8-second shots. Write one beat per clip and join clips in the browser video editor for longer scenes.
Control the opening and the ending
Give Veo a first and last frame and it fills in the motion between them: product reveals, before and after, logo endings.
Vertical and horizontal
Generate in 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts or 16:9 for YouTube and ads, then reframe other cuts in the same workspace.
How it works
- 01
Pick a mode
Start from a prompt, a still image, a first and last frame, or a set of reference images in Video tools.
- 02
Choose the model and settings
Set duration, resolution, aspect ratio and sound. The credit quote updates with every change, before you generate.
- 03
Generate, compare, finish
Results land in your project. Run the same inputs on another model, then trim, upscale or edit in the browser.
What it costs
Veo is billed in credits per second of video. The rate depends on the version, resolution and sound, and the quote is shown before you generate. Eligible paid plans include Unlimited offers on selected models; the current list and limits are on the live pricing facts page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Veo 3.1, Quality and Lite?
Veo 3.1 and Veo 3.1 Quality both render 8-second clips at up to 4K; Quality is Google’s higher quality setting, and Veo 3.1 also accepts up to three reference images. Veo 3.1 Lite is the lighter option with 4, 6 or 8 seconds at 720p or 1080p. All three generate synced audio.
Can I turn off Veo audio?
Yes. Sound is on by default and can be switched off before you generate, and the credit quote updates to match.
Do I need a Google account or Gemini subscription?
No. Veo runs inside Kolbo.AI on your Kolbo account and credit balance, next to Seedance, Kling, Sora and the rest of the video models.
How much does Veo 3.1 cost on Kolbo.AI?
Veo 3.1 is billed in credits per generation. The amount depends on the version, duration, resolution and options such as sound, and the exact quote is shown before you generate. Current plans and credit examples are on the live pricing facts page.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. The Free plan includes a small monthly credit allowance so you can explore the workspace. Video costs more credits than images, so regular video work usually needs a paid plan or a credit pack. Purchased packs never expire.
