What Makes Seedream 5.0 Pro Different
Prompt adherence that holds. Most image models drift from your prompt on complex instructions - multiple subjects, specific spatial arrangements, text in the image, unusual lighting. Seedream 5.0 Pro is built to stay close to what you actually asked for. Complex scenes, multi-element compositions, precise material descriptions - the output matches the intent.
Photorealistic detail and materials. Skin, glass, metal, fabric, water. The model renders materials with the kind of detail that tends to break other models. Accurate reflections, subsurface skin tones, fine texture on surfaces. For photorealistic portrait and product work, this is the model in Kolbo that performs closest to a real photograph.
Up to 10 reference images. Text-to-image with a single prompt gets you far. Adding references gets you further. Seedream 5.0 Pro accepts up to 10 reference images and blends them - style, character, lighting, composition. Visual DNA support is included, so your character references work across generations consistently.
Hard-to-render things, done right. Three specific areas where most models produce obvious errors: legible text inside the image, accurate reflections and mirror behavior, and complex spatial scenes with multiple overlapping elements. Seedream 5.0 Pro handles all three notably better than the Lite variant.
Two resolutions: 1K and 2K. The Pro model goes up to 2048x2048 (2K) - twice the pixel density of 1K, usable for print, large-format display, and close-crop product shots that would fall apart at lower resolution. Both tiers are available.

Image Editing. Upload an existing image, describe what you want changed, and the model edits with the same precision. Targeted edits without regenerating the whole scene.
Best Uses for Seedream 5.0 Pro
Photorealistic portraits and people. Accurate skin tones, realistic lighting, consistent facial detail. For portrait work, this is the image model in Kolbo that gets closest to photography.
Product and commercial imagery. Precise material rendering and spatial accuracy make it reliable for product shots, packshot composites, and brand-level commercial assets.
Multi-reference blending. Projects that need consistent style across many images - feeding 5 to 10 references lets the model lock onto a look and reproduce it at scale.
Any scene with text in it. Captions, signage, labels, in-image copy. The model renders legible text reliably, which is something most image models still handle poorly.
High-resolution output for print and large format. When you need the extra pixel density, 2K output gives you room to crop and still have usable resolution.
How to Use It
Seedream 5.0 Pro is live in your Kolbo workspace right now.
- Open Image Tools and choose Text to Image
- In the model selector, open the SeeDream group
- Select Seedream 5.0 Pro
- Choose 1K or 2K resolution, add reference images if you want (up to 10), write your prompt, and generate
For image editing mode: switch to Image Editing in Image Tools and select Seedream 5.0 Pro there.
