Kling 4.0 brings several ways to direct a video into one workflow: start with a written scene, animate an image, guide a generation with references, edit existing footage or continue a clip.
Watch the showcase
This launch film combines Kling 4.0 generations and a real video-edit example, including chrome wings, an underwater transition, a paper fox and a robot. The footage was edited with music and titles for this showcase.
Choose your starting point
- Text to video: describe the subject, setting, action and camera movement.
- Image to video: begin from an image, optionally define the last frame, or use keyframes to guide the sequence.
- Reference to video: combine supported image, video and audio references with your prompt. Describe what each reference should contribute, such as appearance, movement or sound.
- Video editing: supply a clip and describe the change you want. References can help explain the intended result.
- Video extension: continue an existing clip with a prompt describing the next action.
Generation supports durations from 3 to 30 seconds, with 720p and 1080p output options. Extension length and reference limits depend on the selected mode. Check the controls and credit estimate before generating.
Make the direction specific
Start with one clear action. For an image animation, explain what should move and what should remain stable. For an edit, name the exact object, material or color to change. For an extension, describe what happens next rather than retelling the whole scene.
Kling 4.0 supports generated audio and audio references where the selected mode provides them. Review the picture and sound together before using an output in a finished project.
Credits and availability
Kling 4.0 uses ordinary Kolbo.AI credits and is outside Unlimited plans. The estimate shown before generation reflects the selected mode, duration and resolution.
